News Report for Week Ending 5 June 2016

May has been a busy month for Clydesdale Harriers with many members running in this year’s Polaroid 10k Series.

Helensburgh –  First Harrier home was Kevin Farmer with a time of 38:53, followed by Donald Cameron (41:28), Pamela McCrossan ran 42:16 and came in 1st FV50, Augustine Cairney (44:16), Fraser Smith (44:58), Colin Gray (58.55) and Nicola Armstrong (1:09:18)

Clydebank – First Harrier Kevin Farmer 37:41, followed by Donald Cameron (40:34), Alan Dick (40.54) Augustine Cairney (43:04), Fraser Smith (43:49), Colin Gray (57.09) and Nicola Armstrong (1:05:55)

Dumbarton – First Harrier again was Kevin Farmer 37:05, followed by David Cameron (40.43), Pamela McCrossan completed the course in 41:31 and came 2nd FV50, Augustine Cairney (42:59), Fraser Smith (43:51), Alistair Greig (44.38), Bryan Powell (44:41), Robert Young (47:58), Stephen McKee (50:03), Evelyn McKee (57:06), Nicola Armstrong (01:05:18) and Colin Gray (01:09:36)

Vale of Leven – The final 10K of the series had 10 harriers taking part.  First Home was Kevin Farmer (37:31), Donald Cameron (38:58), Alan Dick (41:22), Augustine Cairney (42:28), Fraser Smith (43:49), Robert Young (44:30), Stephen McKee (48.55), John Hutchinson (55.45), Evelyn McKee (57.37) and Colin Gray (01:09:29).

This years Female Vets 3000m Championships were held on Friday 3rd June at Glasgow’s Crownpoint Stadium.  Two Clydesdale Harriers enjoyed taking part.  Pamela McCrossan ran the distance in an excellent time of 12:05 achieving 1st FV50.  Marina McCallum followed in (13:19).

Helensburgh Highland Games held on Saturday 4th June included an 8k hill race which harrier Marina McCallum ran a great time of (59:59).

Sunday 5th June concluded a very busy weekend for Marina when she ran in the Milngavie Trail Race in a time of (1:18:10).
