On Saturday Clydesdale Harrier, John Fox travelled over to the Jura to take part in the Isle of Jura Half Marathon and finished a fantastic first overall in a time of 1.31.

Also that day no less than 36 of the younger harriers took part in the many events at the Balloch Highland Games with many excellent results.

The previous weekend was the Girvan Half Marathon which had Pamela McCrossan finishing as fourth female and first veteran over 45 in a time of 1.34.07 over the hilly course, followed by Marina McCallum (1.44.59).

At the beginning of the month was the club’s own Sinclair Trophy which was a 2 lap course of about 5.4 miles in Drumry. Fastest harrier was Paul Carroll (31.37), followed by Kevin Farmer (34.05), Hugh Laverty (35.44), Pamela McCrossan (37.25), Paul McKendry (37.35), Patrick Dayliss (38.42), Christine Duncanson (43.22), Stephen McKee (44.11), and Evelyn McKee (46.33).
