Press Report Week Ending 9th February 2014

Last Saturday was the Clubs own Cross Country at Carlieth Farm, Duntocher. Clydesdale Harriers young and old took part. Results soon.

The previous weekend was the National Masters Cross Country at Hawick. In atrocious conditions several harriers took part. First race was the Women’s and Men’s Over 65 age groups running a two lap course which totalled 6k. Fastest harrier was Pamela McCrossan (31.30), followed by Marina McCallum (32.35), Pete Cartwright (33.46 and 1st vet over 70), and Watson Jones (35.41 and 2nd vet over 70).

The second race was the Men’s race who were running two bigger laps totalling 8k. Fastest harrier was Gerry Kane (47.32), and Peter Rudzinski (52.08).

Also that weekend was the Renfrewshire AAA 5 Mile Open Road Race which had Alan Dick running well in blustery conditions to finish in 33.38.

Forthcoming races for the harriers include the National Cross Country Championships at Falkirk (February 22nd), Balloch to Clydebank Half  Marathon (March 9th), and the Trimpell 20 (March 16th).
